Run for One Planet

Friday, May 1st, 2009

Matt and Steph, on their ‘Run for One Planet’ North American fundraising/awareness campaign presented to Grade 2 to 7 students at Aspengrove School on Friday, May 1, 2009 and ran together along the Trans Canada Trail, adjacent to the school.  The Run for One Planet (www.runforoneplanet.com ) puts the International Baccalaureate philosophy of global citizenship into action and the students each donated a ‘twoonie’ to the Run for One Planet campaign to encourage Matt and Steph in the final days of their run.  The visit/presentation reminded Aspengrove students of environmental/conservation initiatives they can put into action at home and school in support of the planet.
