It is with great pride that we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students this year. They have been a wonderful group of students who were tremendous role models for the Aspengrove School student body.
Lynsey Epp will be pursuing a Bachelor of Education degree at Vancouver Island University with a view to becoming a Primary teacher. She would also like to participate in a University exchange program where she would study at a partner university for a year in another country of her choice.
Sebastian Jaeger, one of our founding students, has been accepted to join the Canadian Forces under the ROTP program (Regular Officer Training Plan). This is a highly competitive process and we are very proud of Sebastian for being accepted. Sebastian will receive a full scholarship to attend Vancouver Island University to complete his Bachelor of Arts (History). During the summer months, Sebastian will be completing his officer training at various military bases throughout Canada. On completion of his University degree, Sebastian will be commissioned to the rank of 2LT in the Armoured Corps of the Canadian Forces.
Mark Obad has accepted an offer to the Physics Department as well as received a President’s Entrance Scholarship from UBC for entrance in September 2009. We are very proud of Mark’s accomplishments over the past four years at Aspengrove School. He has proved himself to be an outstanding student in the fields of Mathematics and Science.
Christien Querengesser, who has completed his BC Dogwood Diploma with outstanding grades (Honour Roll student for the past four years at Aspengrove School and Top Academic student in Grade 12), has chosen to spend one more year at high school before applying to University due to his age. Christien has received an academic scholarship to attend Shawnigan Lake School as a boarding student. In September 2010, Christien plans to attend University and complete his Bachelor of Science degree.
