Peak Performers Program

Peak Performers are assigned an academic schedule similar to other students. Having a regular classroom, with world class teachers, provides a structure for students to succeed. The consistent requirements ensure that the student does not fall behind academically due to their training demands.

As an independent school, Aspengrove is able to provide flexibility within the daily, weekly, and yearly schedule. We will work with each Peak Performer to ensure that there is flexibility that supports training and performing needs. The key of our flexibility is the ability to allow students to train during the school day, and to schedule classes in support of their training needs. 

Peak Performers are also “regular students,” and will participate in the life of our school as they are able, engaging in our clubs, assemblies, advisories and students. Our Peak Performers will be expected to focus on character, responsibility and care, and to follow our code of conduct as do all Aspengrove students. 

All Peak Performers are assigned an academic tutor whose role is to provide academic support throughout the year, and especially if there is missed class time. It is the role of the tutor to bridge the requirements of the teacher with the demands of the Peak Performer training to support success both outside and inside of the classroom.

As a school focused on excellence, the Peak Performers will participate in a variety of activities and lessons designed to enrich the pursuit of excellence. Mental coaching, nutrition, injury prevention, university counselling, scholarship support, and pathway programming are all part of the Peak Performs Program.
