Peak Performers Program
Aspengrove School is committed to providing excellence in education, both inside and outside of the classroom. As part of our commitment to developing a well rounded student, we are expanding our support for students pursuing excellence in athletic and artistic pursuits.
What is it: The Aspengrove Peak Performers Program is an opportunity for students in Grades 6 through 12 to pursue elite, personalized training while engaging and benefiting from an Aspengrove education. If your child is involved in training and/or performing that makes attending a traditional school a challenge, but you highly value an education and still want your child to have a school experience with exceptional academic and student life experiences, then this program is for you!

How does it work?
Aspengrove recognizes that for those students who are training at the highest levels, balancing their training and performing demands with a world class education is extremely challenging. The Peak Performers Program has been designed to provide the support, flexibility, and experiences that will allow individuals to pursue their talents outside and inside of the classroom. The Aspengrove Peak Performers Program is built on consistency, flexibility, challenge, support and enrichment.
Consistency
Peak Performers are assigned an academic schedule similar to other students. Having a regular classroom, with world class teachers, provides a structure for students to succeed. The consistent requirements ensure that the student does not fall behind academically due to their training demands.
Flexibility
As an independent school, Aspengrove is able to provide flexibility within the daily, weekly, and yearly schedule. We will work with each Peak Performer to ensure that there is flexibility that supports training and performing needs. The key of our flexibility is the ability to allow students to train during the school day, and to schedule classes in support of their training needs.
Challenge
Peak Performers are also “regular students,” and will participate in the life of our school as they are able, engaging in our clubs, assemblies, advisories and students. Our Peak Performers will be expected to focus on character, responsibility and care, and to follow our code of conduct as do all Aspengrove students.
Support
All Peak Performers are assigned an academic tutor whose role is to provide academic support throughout the year, and especially if there is missed class time. It is the role of the tutor to bridge the requirements of the teacher with the demands of the Peak Performer training to support success both outside and inside of the classroom.
Enrichment
As a school focused on excellence, the Peak Performers will participate in a variety of activities and lessons designed to enrich the pursuit of excellence. Mental coaching, nutrition, injury prevention, university counselling, scholarship support, and pathway programming are all part of the Peak Performs Program.
Our goal is that Peak Performer students will have the best support possible for their training, performing and educational goals.
