Meet Rosemary Lindsay

Rosemary is a long time voice teacher, singer, choral advocate and conductor. She taught voice at Vancouver Island University from 2007-2025 where she also taught choral conducting and directed the vocal ensembles. Rosemary has conducted many choirs up and down the island and currently directs Timbre! Choir in the Alberni Valley and TrebleMagic in Qualicum Beach.
Ms. Lindsay holds a degree in Music with a major in Classical Voice from the University of British Columbia. As an educator she is committed to furthering her skills, participating in symposiums and workshops, and in sharing her knowledge, presenting at conferences and giving vocal workshops.
Most notably, Rosemary has completed all levels of training in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetriI Method, an organized method of vocal training for Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) styles. This training, based upon somatic awareness and aural discernment, integrates beautifully with her other body-centred trainings – acupressure and yoga. All these disciplines inform her work in the choral/vocal sphere. She enjoys integrating her understanding of the voice and the breath and her knowledge of alignment and movement, into all her teaching.
