Meet Mr. Eriksson
An adventurer and learning enthusiast at heart, J.O. Eriksson is a multilingual teacher who demonstrates a passion for global leadership and opening doors to the world for his students. In a world that is becoming more complex and interconnected, J.O. sees global learning as a pathway towards peace and understanding. Through engagement with others in new contexts, students learn more about themselves and what they are actually capable of.
He has served Aspengrove for 20 years as a Senior School Humanities teacher, Athletics coach, and Middle Years Program Coordinator. Prior to his time at Aspengrove, he has worked in different areas of the world including Finland, Czech Republic, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan and Germany. J.O. has learned the value of global cross pollination first hand, from teaching business English to young entrepreneurs in Prague to teaching and hosting a music radio program in Osh, Kyrgyzstan to leading student groups in Germany and Finland. He values relationships as the foundation upon which all meaningful learning is built.
