Aspengrove Camps provide fun, engaging, and enriching programs for students during professional development days, school closures, and holiday breaks. Children will enjoy creative activities, outdoor play, and hands-on experiences with friends in a supportive and active environment.

  • October 23, 2025 – Autumn Adventures

    Celebrate the magic of the changing seasons with a day full of fall fun! Children will enjoy playful experiences, engaging stories, and joyful songs as we explore the wonders of autumn together.

  • October 24, 2025 – Jack-o’-Lantern Jamboree

    It’s a pumpkin party! Children will dive into jack-o’-lantern crafts, lively songs, and friendly Halloween stories. We can’t wait to share a day of festive fall fun with your little pumpkins.

  • November 28, 2025 — Hibernation Station

    Get cozy in your favourite pyjamas for a snuggly day of stories, playful activities, and sensory fun. Together, we’ll learn about hibernation and bring the sleepy season to life.

  • January 30, 2026 — Little Woodland Critters

    Step into the forest and meet its friendly critters! Children will enjoy woodland-inspired sensory play, imaginative stories, and engaging activities that bring the forest to life.

  • May 15, 2026 — Little Sprouts

    Dig in for a day of discovery! Children will plant seeds, explore nature, and join in a lively circle time that blossoms with new ideas. Our little sprouts will have plenty of opportunities to learn and grow together.

  • May 26, 2026 — Barnyard Buddies

    Come on down to the farm! Through creative art, playful activities, and engaging stories, children will explore the wonders of the barnyard and meet their new farmyard friends.

  • October 23, 2025 — Autumn Explorers (K – Grade 5)

    Join us for a fun-filled day as Autumn Explorers! Students will discover the magic of fall through a playful scavenger hunt, creative nature crafts, and a taste of autumn-inspired treats – pumpkins, apples, and more! It’s the perfect way to celebrate the beauty of fall while learning, creating, and making new friends.

  • October 24, 2025 — Halloween Fiesta (K – Grade 5)

    Get ready for a spook-tacular day of fun as students stir up a magical Witches’ Brew, get creative with Halloween-themed crafts, and enjoy some spooky tales for the season! We’ll wrap up the day getting groovy to Halloween tunes and celebrating this festive season together.

  • November 10, 2025 — Kindness and Courage Day (K – Grade 5)

    Join us for a meaningful and heartwarming day as we explore the themes of kindness, courage, and remembrance. Students will create beautiful poppy crafts, enjoy thoughtful stories about peace and friendship, and take part in a reflective group activity that celebrates gratitude and caring for others. Through creativity and connection, children will gain a gentle understanding of Remembrance Day while celebrating the values of hope, peace, and compassion.

  • November 28, 2025 — Cozy & Creative Day (K – Grade 5)

    As the weather cools down, come join us for a relaxing day filled with cozy indoor fun! From paper crafting to LEGO building, quiet reading corners to sensory play, the focus will be on comfort, creativity, and connection. We’ll sip hot chocolate, share stories, and wind down with board games, puzzles, and maybe a song or two.

  • November 28, 2025 — Coding (Grades 3-7)

    Discover the fascinating world of robotics and code with Nanaimo Science as we learn the logic that makes modern machines tick! Through hands-on challenges, you will master sequences, loops, and conditionals, the building blocks of programming. Using intuitive drag and drop coding platforms and real robots, you will directly see how your code brings a robot to life. Get ready to think like an engineer and code your own creations!

  • January 30, 2026 — Hearts & Hugs Day (K – Grade 5)

    Love is in the air, and we’re celebrating with a day full of friendship, fun, and heart-filled activities! Students will enjoy Valentine-themed crafts, kindness games, stories of love and caring, and a mini “Kindness Party” to celebrate friendship and fun in our OSC community.

  • February 13, 2026 — Strawbees (K – Grade 5)

    Join Nanaimo Science for a day where imagination meets engineering. We start with Strawbees, the flexible building tool that lets you construct amazing structures through fun challenges and creative exploration. Next, we will dive into the world of programming, mastering drag and drop code with Microbits through a series of engaging tutorials and games. Finally, we fuse these skills together! Learn how to use servos to connect your code to your physical creation, transforming simple Strawbees builds into incredible, reacting robotic inventions.

  • May 15, 2026 — Spring into Fun! (K – Grade 5)

    Join us for a joyful day of spring-themed adventures as we celebrate the season of sunshine and growth! Learners will enjoy creative crafts, exploring the outdoors with a nature walk or scavenger hunt, and get moving with playful games and group challenges. It’s the perfect way to soak up the fresh air, stay active, and welcome spring with friends and fun.

  • May 15, 2026 — Environmental Science (Grades 3-7)

    Step outside with Nanaimo Science and explore the environment using the power of technology. We will use tools like anemometers to make scientific observations and collect real data about the weather. This engaging day includes a critical look at human impacts on the environment, where we will run our own hands-on oil spill intervention experiment. Plus, sharpen your identification skills using INaturalist on a guided nature walk where you will create your very own personalized nature guide.

  • May 22, 2026 — Exciting Engineering (Grades 3-7)

    Nanaimo Science invites you to a dynamic day designed to hone your skills as a master engineer. You will face a gauntlet of imaginative challenges where creativity is your greatest asset. Build a boat that can float even the heaviest weight, construct towers engineered to withstand earthquakes, design amazing flying machines that can soar to the ceiling, and test different styles of paper airplanes to determine which can fly the best. There is no single answer here; only endless opportunities for you to design, test, and innovate.

  • May 25, 2026 — A Day in Bloom (K – Grade 5)

    Let’s celebrate the beauty of spring with a day of discovery, creativity, and play! Students will dive into garden-inspired crafts, explore signs of spring through nature-based games and challenges, and enjoy active time outdoors with relay races, chalk art, or a spring-themed scavenger hunt. With a mix of hands-on learning and active movement, it’s the perfect way to soak up the season and let imaginations bloom.

    JK students, bundle up—it’s time to step into a snowy world of fun! In Winter Wonderland, children will enjoy cozy crafts, frosty games, and wintry sensory adventures. Together, we’ll celebrate the beauty of the season and create warm memories with friends.

  • January 5–9, 2026 — Arctic Explorers

    Grab your winter gear, Arctic Explorers—it’s time for a week full of adventure! We’ll learn about Arctic animals, share snowy stories, and head outdoors for chilly fun. We can’t wait to see what discoveries await!

    Celebrate the season with a joyful week of winter fun and cozy creativity! Students will enjoy snowflake crafts, wintry games, warm treats, and stories that shine a light on the Winter Solstice. Each day offers playful ways to connect, explore, and enjoy the magic of winter together.

  • January 5–9, 2026 — Snow Much Fun in 2026!

    We’re kicking off 2026 with a week of snowy fun, frosty creativity, and fresh new beginnings! Students will dive into winter-themed crafts, snow-inspired games, and celebrate the season with cozy stories and hands-on activities. We’ll also explore the excitement of a brand-new year by making “New Year wishes” and sharing what we’re excited for in 2026. It’s the perfect way to welcome the new year with joy and creativity!
