How do I know if Aspengrove is the right school for my child?
As part of the inquiry process, we help you to better understand our programs and determine if Aspengrove might be the right fit for your child. We offer the renowned International Baccalaureate curriculum which meets and exceeds BC Ministry of Education requirements. While we do not focus solely on academics, we do expect an Aspengrove student to embrace our enriched academic program and have a willingness to reach their potential within our caring and supportive environment. An Aspengrove student is curious and reflective. They strive to do their very best and are looking to develop into a well-rounded learner.
When is the best time to submit an application?
We have a rolling admissions policy and are pleased to accept applications for all grades throughout the school year. However, we recommend submitting an application by December 31st, as we process the bulk of the first round of applications in early January. Some families choose to apply a year in advance of their child’s anticipated start date.
Do you have a waitlist?
As a young school, we are growing and continue to open more classes each year. However, our waitlists do change from year to year. We encourage families to start an application early.
Do you accept students in the middle of the year?
If we have space, we will consider enrolling students mid year. This decision depends on several factors, including your child’s readiness for the program and the current class composition.
What are the steps in the application process?
- Inquire via the website, email, or phone call with our Admissions Team.
- Consider registering for an online Information Session and/or booking a school tour.
- Complete the online application form.
- Submit supporting documents.
- Submit application fee.
- A readiness assessment and possible visit day will be the final step in the application process.
Find more details on our Admissions page.
What does the assessment entail?
The assessment is just one part of the application and helps the school determine your child’s readiness for our program. Learn more here.
When will I know if my child has been accepted?
Space availability is determined once our current families complete the re-enrollment process in early February. Thereafter, applicants who have completed the full application and assessment will be informed of enrollment decisions by March. In some instances, enrollment decisions can be communicated earlier. We will continue to accept applications and make offers until classes are filled.
Do you accept international students?
Yes. The level of English language proficiency required depends on the grade level to which the student is applying. We also offer English Language Learner support to students whose first language is not English.
Do you have a homestay program?
We are pleased to offer a family boarding program starting in the 2024-25 school year.
Does Aspengrove offer a second language?

Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes. Aspengrove School has a progressive sibling discount on tuition fees, meaning that the second and third child to attend the school receive a 5% discount and subsequent children receive a 10% discount.
Do you offer scholarships and bursaries?
As a not-for-profit independent school, we rely on tuition to cover our operating expenses. However, we are pleased to offer scholarships and bursaries. Scholarships are available to students currently enrolled in Grades 8 to 11 and are based on merit. We also offer Entrance Scholarships for students enrolling in Grades 8 to 11. We have a bursary program based on financial need for families from Kindergarten to Grade 11. New families are able to submit a financial aid application upon acceptance to Aspengrove. Learn more on our Scholarships & Bursaries page.
Upon acceptance, how much am I going to pay in my first year at Aspengrove?
